Consultation meeting on the 2nd KAP’s Preliminary Result

19 February 2015, Climate Change Department (CCD) of the Ministry of Environment organized a consultation meeting on the preliminary result of the 2nd study on the​ Understanding Public Perceptions of Climate Change in Cambodia (Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP) with participation from His Excellency Secretary General of the National Council for Green Growth,​ CCD’s leaders, Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA), representative from DCA/CA and Cambodia’s Leading Independent Development Policy Research Institute (CDRI), totally 20 people.

9thCCCA’s Programme Support Board Meeting

9th PSB meeting-1

In the morning of 18 February 2015, the Program Support Board (PSB) of the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA) conducted its 9th meeting under the chairmanship of H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment and Chairperson of the CCCA’s PSB. The meeting was also attended by PSB members from the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology; Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Ministry of Economy and Finance; and representatives from the development partners including the European Union, Sweden and UNDP, as well as representatives of selected stakeholders.

Consultation Workshops on CCAPs for the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Tourism

16 January 2015: The Ministry of Information (MoInf) organized its consultation workshop on Climate Change Action Plan (CCAP) for the Ministry of Information sector under the presidency of H.E. Minister of Information in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA). The workshop was participated by over 90 representatives from MoInf (senior management, Directorates General and Municipal/Provincial Departments of Information), Ministry of Environment, CCCA and relevant NGOs.

CCCA Launched Its Call for Proposal for 8 Ministries/Agency

Grant WS 12Jan201512 January 2015: The Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA) programme launched its call for proposals to support the implementation of Climate Change Action Plans (CCAPs) in qualifying ministries/agency approved CCAPs with participation from 8 ministries/agency Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, Ministry of Women’s Affairs, and National Committee for Disaster Management as well as National Climate Change Committee secretariat in Sunway Hotel, Phnom Penh.

Announcement: The Launch of Call for Proposal for Line Ministries/Agencies

On 9th January 2015, the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA) programme launched a call for proposals to support the implementation of Climate Change Action Plans (CCAPs) in qualifying ministries. The eight ministries/agencies with approved CCAPs are eligible to apply, namely Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Ministry of Health; Ministry of Public Works and Transport; Ministry of Rural Development; Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology; Ministry of Women’s Affairs; and National Committee for Disaster Management.

Staff Retreat to review climate change achievements and develop activity plan for 2015

Preah SiStaff retreat dec 2014hanouk – From 18-19 December 2014 the Climate Change Department (CCD) of the Cambodia Ministry of Environment conducted its annual retreat and a back-to-back retreat for the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA) with participation of CCD and CCCA staff, aiming to review progress, plan activities for next year, discuss other issues and agree on recommendations for the Department, particularly the performance of CCCA Phase 2 (July-December 2014) and discuss workplan for CCCA 2015.
