Joint Press Release: 12.3 Million US$ committed by EU, Sweden and UNDP for the second phase of the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance

Signing CCCAII12 Mar 2015PHNOM PENH, 12 March 2015: Minister of Environment, H.E. Say Samal, who is also the Chair of the National Climate Change Committee, presided over the official launch ceremony for the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA) Phase II. A total of 12.3 Million US$ have been allocated to the programme from the European Union (EU), Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to support the implementation of the Cambodia Climate Change Strategic Plan 2014-2023 for the period from July 2014 to June 2019.


Consultation Workshop on CCAP for the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction

CCAP-MLMUPC-2-126 February 2015: The Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction(MLMUPC) organized its consultation workshop on Climate Change Action Plan (CCAP) for the Ministry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA), with participation from H.E. Pen Sophal, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, Her.E. Meas Morin, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Environment, and others technical officials from both Ministries.


Consultation meeting on the 2nd KAP’s Preliminary Result

19 February 2015, Climate Change Department (CCD) of the Ministry of Environment organized a consultation meeting on the preliminary result of the 2nd study on the​ Understanding Public Perceptions of Climate Change in Cambodia (Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice (KAP) with participation from His Excellency Secretary General of the National Council for Green Growth,​ CCD’s leaders, Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA), representative from DCA/CA and Cambodia’s Leading Independent Development Policy Research Institute (CDRI), totally 20 people.

In the morning of 18 February 2015, the Program Support Board (PSB) of the Cambodia Climate Change Alliance (CCCA) conducted its 9th meeting under the chairmanship of H.E. Say Samal, Minister of Environment and Chairperson of the CCCA’s PSB. The meeting was also attended by PSB members from the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology; Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Ministry of Economy and Finance; and representatives from the development partners including the European Union, Sweden and UNDP, as well as representatives of selected stakeholders.
