Climate Change Response Presented in The 2015’s MoE Conference

CC in MoE conference 2015“Climate change response in Cambodia” is a 3rd sub-topic of the workshop 4 on sustainable development facilitated by H.E. Tin Ponlok, Secretary General of the National Council for Sustainable Development, this morning of 26th February 2016, of the 2015 MoE’s conference and 2016's work plan. Representatives of the Department of Climate Change of the General Secretariat of the National Council for Sustainable Development presented the implementation progress of the Cambodia Climate Change Strategic Plan (CCCSP) and the key findings of the 21st Conference of the Parties (CoP 21).

Meeting on Pre-CoP 21 to the UNFCCC

Pre CoP 21Phnom Penh, 19 November 2015: Minister of Environment, H.E. Say Samal, who is also the chairperson of the National Council for Sustainable Development (NCSD), presided over the Cambodia’s Pre-21st Conference of the Parties (CoP 21) meeting with the aim to provide a room for Cambodia’s delegators getting in depth understanding on the overview of CoP 21, agenda, preparations and Cambodia’s positions to be brought for negotiation in the UN climate conferences in France’s Paris from 30 November to 11 December 2015.

Press Release: Consultation Meeting on Cambodia’s INDC

photo 2 1Phnom Penh, 16 September 2015 - The Ministry of Environment organized a consultation meeting on Cambodia’s Intended Nationally Determined Contribution (Cambodia’s INDC) attended by approximately 120 representatives from line ministries/agencies, development partners and key stakeholders at Himawari hotel, presided over​ by H.E. Say Samal, the Minister of Environment. The Cambodia’s INDC is one of the main documents presenting Cambodia’s contribution to the globe’s Call for Climate Action to be submitted to UNFCCC-Secretariat, a head of COP 21 in Paris of France in coming December 2015.
