UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon invited leaders to a Climate Summit to raise political momentum for a meaningful universal climate agreement in Paris in 2015. An unprecedented 125 Heads of State and government attended the gathering. They were joined by more than 800 leaders from business, finance and civil society.


Sweden extends financial support for CCCA second phase

PHNOM PENH – Sweden granted 28,000,000 Swedish Krona (approx. US$3.8 million) on Friday (14 November 2014) to support an initiative implemented by the United Nations Development Programme to help Cambodia improve its capacity to respond to climate change impacts on its development.


Sri Lanka launche $100 million climate resilience effort

The Sri Lankan government has launched a $100 million climate resilience programme that  government officials say will allow it to adapt better to changing climate patterns.


UN CC offers free CC e-learning to all 195 countries party to UNFCCC

It’s official. In little more than 6 months the UN CC:Learn online Introductory Course on Climate Change has received close to 8000 registrations from all 195 countries that are party to the UNFCCC. The course is offered free of charge at above address.
